V.M. Ehlers Scholarship Application

To be eligible for scholarship assistance from the V.M. Ehlers Foundation, Inc. you must:

Have been an active individual dues paid member of the Texas Water Utilities Association, or an active dues paid member of a Sponsoring Organization that has a fully vested Endowment within the Foundation for a period of not less than twelve months preceding the date the application is received by the V.M. Ehlers Foundation, Inc.
Or be the dependent child of an active individual dues paid member (A dependent child is still being supported by their parent(s) and are claimed on their parent(s) income tax return.)
Pursuing a course of study that is related to the water utilities industry. Students pursuing a graduate degree are not eligible.
Provide a final high school transcript, GED or university grade report which documents your current academic status.

This question only applies to NCAA student athletes. Any student athlete must comply with NCAA rules and cannot receive funding directly. Please provide the address where the Ehlers Scholarship funds will be distributed. Failure to provide this address will result in forfeiture of Ehlers funding.

Before submitted this application, check to make sure all of these items are complete.
Is active membership (for you or your parent) in Texas Water Utilities Association, or in the Sponsoring Organization (ie: the Water Environment Association of Texas, etc.) of a fully vested Endowment within the Foundation, clearly stated in the application? Is the length of active membership in the qualifying organization also clearly stated in the application? Is the academic degree to be pursued by the applicant, the college or university chosen and the applicant's intended career plans clearly stated in the application? Is your income level and/or the family income level (if applying as the dependent of a member and being supported by your parents or legal guardian) clearly stated in the application? Is the past academic record of the applicant, whether in high school or previous college activity, clearly indicated in the application and have you provided a post graduation high school transcript, GED or University Grade Report? THE APPLICATION IS NOT COMPLETE WITHOUT THIS INFORMATION!! Are all current leadership and/or volunteer activities in the qualifying organization(s) (for the applicant or his/her parents) clearly indicated in the application?
I hereby certify that the information contained herein is true and complete to the best of my knowledge and belief. I further certify (1) that if I am selected as the recipient of funds from the V. M. Ehlers Foundation, Inc., or of one of the Endowments thereof, all funds received by me shall be used for the purposes stated and to attend the college or university indicated within one collegiate semester following the date the notification letter is mailed to me by the V. M. Ehlers Foundation, Inc. and (2) that should the funds not be used for the stated purpose and within that time they will be returned to the V. M. Ehlers Foundation, Inc.
