If you are having difficulty finding a specific training class in your area and would consider hosting a class, I would be happy to work with you. We just need a room capable of holding 25 to 30 people and a few things like a dry erase board, or similar teaching aids; but mostly we need bodies in chairs. If you have staff or coworkers that need the same training or you will assist with contacting your neighboring systems to get us a minimum of 12 people, we will schedule the class and hopefully provide for your training needs.
Central Office receives calls on a regular basis from operators who are about to have their TCEQ License expire and they are lacking in renewal hours, so they ask for suggestions. Sometimes we are able to direct them to a class within their renewal time but a significant amount of the time there is simply not enough time left before the license expires. I say all this to urge you to consider the Monthly District Meetings in your area as a source for renewal hours. If you make 5 meeting a year, you would get 10 hours and if you do this for 3 years you would have the 30 hours needed to renew. I personally would not want to cut it that close but some people do.
Looking forward to working with you and assisting with your training needs.
