Huston B. Jones
1933 - 2011
Huston was born March 7, 1933 to Luther and Mary (Wheeler) Jones in Eastland County, Texas. He married Alma Jones on January 27, 1979. Huston retired after 36 1/2 years with the City of Abilene Water Department as he operated the Buck Creek Pump station. He was a part-time stock farmer and previously lived in the Shep Community prior to living in Hawley and Abilene. Huston loved to fish and take vacations. He was a member and Trustee of Victory Baptist Church in Hawley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alma on October 28, 2011; two nephews, Joe D. Rounsaville and Wesley Henry; and three brothers-in-law.
Survivors include three brothers, Doyla Jones and wife, Nina, Rubin Jones and wife, Jennette, and Murland B. Jones and wife, Thelma Lou; three sisters, Vuna King and husband, Tommy, Wanda Maddux, and Edna Ruth Sims; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews that were very special to him and he loved as his own; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be sent to the donor's charity of choice.
